Meanwhile in 2000:
Following the release of the bands debut 4 track EP in 2000, work quickly began on a full length album. During pre-production 5 songs were culled from the list. During the recording, another 4 were culled. In the interim time between finishing the album, a second EP was released featuring the single 'Called' and a selection of the culled tracks used as b-sides along with another album track 'Change My Ways'.
'Jimmy's Resolution' is a metalcore re-working of the tracks Jimmy Was Always Thinking, 1:40 & Resolution. They appeared in that order on the OG release and similarly they follow the pattern here as well, only now they are one ride. It features a brass ensemble of french horn, saxaphone and trumpet. Fun fact: the bands only song to feature brass was '1:40' so here that idea has been elevated to a new level.
*Very special guest vocals by Jack Bergin of Melbourne hardcore powerhouse 'Void Of Vision'.
'Tooth Herds' & 'Sean I'm Dead' complete the left over chronicles. For the original versions; one song was discarded and never heard outside the studio, the other forgotten on a compilation CD. Here they are reborn as a two part punk-hardcore set to throw down at home in lock down.
'Tears' is a dark and broody re-imagining of the fan favourite track, helped along by Louise Kilgour's beautiful vocals
